The Senate President Senator David Mark has promised the passage of the Petroleum Industry bill before the end of the 7th National Assembly. In his welcome address to his ‘ bosses ‘ after the Yuletide, he assures that the Senate will consider the quick passage of all outstanding bills and assist to resolve all other pressing National issues.
Among issues to be considered before the end of the seventh Senate according to the Senate President are the Petroleum Industry bill, the phenomenal fall in the price of crude oil and its impact on the 2015 budget, consideration of the report of the conference of Speakers on the amendment of the Constitution.
Other issues to be resolved are the security challenges in the North East, welfare package for the families of deceased members of the armed forces who lost their lives as a result of the insurgency and transparence, fair and free election.
While promising a quick passage of the 2015 budget , David Mark urged politician to desist from provocative utterances as we approach the 2015 election.
