The Plateau State Council of Chiefs has commended the Hon. Minister of Water Resources Mrs. Sarah Reng Ochekpe for her pet project,( Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Medical Outreach ) that provides free medical services to less privilege people in Plateau State.
This was contained in a letter of appreciation to the Hon. Minister Signed by the Chairman, Plateau State Council of Chiefs, Da Jacob Gyang Buba.
The Chairman of the Council of Chiefs said that the Free Medical services provided by the Hon Minister had addressed most of the health challenges of the less privileged citizens in the State.
“The Plateau State Council of Chiefs has noted with delight your philanthropic gesture of providing free medical services to the teeming citizens of plateau State in the three Senatorial Zones which service has greatly addressed most of the health challenges of the people particularly, the less privileged citizens who otherwise could not avail themselves of such medical services,” he said.
He said that the Council of Chiefs had observed with keen interest the performance of the Hon. Minister since her appointment, which they noted had uplifted the standard of life of the good people of Plateau state and the whole country.
He added that the Plateau State Council of Chiefs prayed to God to continue to grant the Minister wisdom to impact positively on the society as the key driver of the Transformation Agenda of the present Administration.
It could be recalled that the Hon. Minister embarked on free medical services to less privilege people in plateau state, the programme which was started in Barikin Ladi December, 2013,moved to Pankshin in April ,2014 and covered the three Senatorial Zones in the state. In December, 2014 the Free Medical Outreach treated over 4,500 sick people in Zamko, Lantang North Local Government of Plateau State.
