His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has congratulated the President elect, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over his victory at the just concluded presidential election.
Governor Yero also salutes the patriotic courage of President Goodluck Jonathan for displaying uncommon sportsmanship in conceding defeat even before the official pronouncement of winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Yero called on Nigerians to unite behind the president elect to move the country forward saying “our prayer is that may the Almighty God grant the incoming leader the wisdom and good health to deliver on his campaign promises to the people.”
The Governor also called on people in Kaduna State to remain peaceful and law abiding irrespective of their political leanings adding that “we are pleased with conduct of the election and we pray that all the remaining elections would be conducted peacefully.”
On behalf of the Government and entire people of Kaduna State, Governor Yero congratulates General Buhari and President Jonathan for setting democratic standards worthy of emulation in Nigeria and the entire African Continent.
