The Wife of the President, Mrs.  Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has promised to put her weight on the actualization of the recently passed 35% women Affirmation Action Bill.
Mrs.  Buhari made this promise during a breakfast/interactive session  with women legislators and zonal women leaders  of the All Progressive Congress [APC] at the Presidential villa, Monday,  June 29, 2015.
She observed that the number of women, both in the   Senate and the House of Representatives are not adequate to represent the large population of about 65 million women in Nigeria.
Mrs.  Buhari urged women, therefore to expedite action as nation builders and work towards the attainment of the desired aim and objectives of the present Administration.
She also emphasized the need to mobilize women to work for the realization of more positions in the National assembly by 2019.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Dr Ramatu Tijjani, the APC National Women Leader assured that women will always support the change regime of President Muhammadu Buhari by making their contributions in whichever roles they could be asked to play.
