According to the notice, Information Officers are advised to visit the IT Department from Monday, 11th January 2016 to 11th February, 2016 to sign up on the new Ministry’s platform through which they would submit their reports/features/photographs for use on Federal Ministry of Information Website.
The direct posting on FMI portal is a new innovation for efficiency where officers will sign in and post their newsworthy materials directly with their names and automatically earn their by-line.
Meanwhile the PRNigeria, as the leading private news release portal in Nigeria, will continue to accept press releases through the RIONigeria which has been in operation in the last 8 years. This is to support Resident Information Officers (RIO) in ensuring effective syndication of their Press Releases to the media.
Officers are also encouraged to visit www.prnigeria.com and track their press releases through the SEARCH Button. Previous press releases from March 2008 to date can also be accessed and located on RIONigeria Platform through this link:https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/rionigeria/info
For Special Media Service including media coverage, monitoring and tracking, PRNigeria will continue to supports all RIOs… Just send an email to [email protected]
