The Accountant General of the Federation, Mr Ahmed Idris has promised his continued support of the biometric data capturing of all staff of OAGF. Speaking during the biometric data capturing of his own records like every other staff of the Office Mr Idris, noted that the exercise was very commendable because the information would enable a database that will ultimately facilitate efficent and effective personnel planning and management for all administrative purposes.
The AGF further said that the database would at the touch of button determine where any officer is at any point in time adding that posting of officers would now be more accurately processed.
Mr Idris then took time to commend the Committee on the Personnel biometric Registration Exercise of staff in the pool of Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) for the initiative and for a job well done.
The AGF also revealed that the objective is to adopt a technology driven procedure for the proper administration of personnel records by shifting from manual capturing to automated Data Base as it relates to Data capturing, officer identity authentication, Verification and identity related Management issues, for a more dynamic and reliable Centralized Data Base System.
According to him, with the Personnel Data Capturing, it is expected that information generated will serve as a guide in all issues relating to Nominal Roll, Postings, Promotion, Retirement in enhancing the operation of the Pool Staff in OAGF, he also promised to support the Committee in actualizing their objectives in Treasury House for the benefit of the Office.
The biometric data capturing exercise is being executed at the Treasury House Abuja for all Officers in the Pool of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
