The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Garba Dambatta has charged the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) to come up with effective resettlement strategies that will assist the government in managing the post-crisis period in the north east.
Professor Dambatta stated this when the Management of the Centre led by its Executive Secretary, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (Rtd), paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

According to him, apart from the debilitating condition which the hapless people who are caught up in the crisis in various parts of the north east are currently facing, a more formidable challenge will even come in managing the post-crisis resettlement and reintegration of the people in the affected areas. “Am interested in the kind of intervention you provide and I believe that there are certain voids which organizations like yours can fill in terms of managing the different levels of crisis in our country.
Your Centre should be able to come up with effective resettlement strategies that will assist government in managing the post-crisis period in the north east. You certainly have a big work to do in addressing the problem of the hapless Nigerians caught up in the Boko Haram crisis in the north east and elsewhere”. He said.
Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Centre for Crisis Communication, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (Rtd) said they were at the Commission to brief the EVC on its activities and to also seek areas of collaboration with the NCC.
