The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita in fulfilment of her promise, yesterday, handed over documents of a three-bedroom flat to the father of quintuplets Mr. Imudia Uduehi on behalf of the Federal Civil Service of Nigeria.
Mrs. Oyo-Ita had on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Federal Civil Service in particular promised to provide free housing to Mr. and Mrs. Imudia Uduehi and their five children, under the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) programme, when she visited the family at the National Hospital, Abuja on Saturday.
The Head of Service handed over the documents of the house which was donated by EFAB properties Ltd, an Estate Developer in Abuja at the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Summit 2017, with the theme: “Innovative strategies for affordable housing” held at International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
She said “I made the promise in faith but to the glory of God, EFAB has helped us to fulfil our promise. I hereby present the documents of a three-bedroom flat in Dakwa area of Dei Dei, Abuja, to the father of the children”.
Mrs. Oyo-Ita at the hospital had said:  “On behalf of the Federal Civil Service, I want to tell you, (Mrs.Oluwakemi Uduehi, a female civil servant with the National Population Commission), that the Federal Integrated Staff Housing [FISH] programme will make available to you and your family a house that can accommodate you, your husband and the children.”
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), EFAB property, Chief (Dr.) Fabien Nnwoara who did the presentation together with the Chairman of FISH Implementation Committee Mr.  Yemi Adelakun Permanent Secretary, Common Services Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation on behalf of the Head of Service, said the gesture was to support the Head of Service in fulfilling her promise.
The house which is completed and ready for them to move in according to him, was a way of carrying out their own social responsibility and giving back to the community what the company has been benefiting.
“In our over 15 years of our participation in housing delivery, what we did was part of giving back to the community.  We saw the faith with which the Head of Service made the promise of housing for the family, we have to come in to support her,” Nnwoara said.
Mr. Uduehi, the father of the five baby girls expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the gift of the children, and thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his welfare initiative to the Federal Civil Servants through the Federal Integrated Staff Housing (FISH) Programme in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation under the leadership of Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita whom he said played a motherly role in ensuring that the children were comfortable.
“I give glory to God, for giving the children to my family and Nigeria especially under the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I thank President Muhammadu Buhari, the Head of Service and the owners of EFAB for this life changing gift.
“From the moment the Head of Service visited us in the hospital everything changed for us, may God continue to bless her and may this administration continue to flourish,” Uduehi said.
