PCNI Recieves Essential Drugs Worth 2m For IDPs

The Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative received essential drugs from BCN, pharmaceutical company of Nigeria for IDPs in its office on 1st August, 2017

The essential drugs   received by the vice chair, PCNI  Mr Tijjani Tumsah, on behalf of the chairman, Lt. General T.Y Danjuma  for the Internally Displaced People  in the North East include: 10 (Ten) cartons of Febrilix syrup 60ml, 10 (Ten) Cartons of Junivite syrup 100ml, 10 (Ten) cartons of Ivax Suspension 60ml, 2 (Two) cartons of Beecoodeen Tablets, 10 (Ten) cartons of Paracetamol, 10 (Ten) cartons of Calamine lotion 100ml, 10 (Ten) cartons of Nerve and Bone liniment 180ml, 10 (Ten) cartons of Penetrol Inhalant 10ml. Mr. Tijjani Tumsah in his remark appreciated the company for their kind gesture and promised to ensure that the drugs reach the IDPs to alleviate their health challenges. He said further that the PCNI looks forward for further partnership with the company.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Executive Officer, BCN, Mr. Ahmed Yusuf Ahmed said the BCN pharmaceutical is a fast growing company in Nigeria with global foot prints and has demonstrated her local manufacturing capacity in essential drug production. He said as part of the company’s social corporate responsibility, BCN is mindful of the health condition of IDPs in the North East and wishes to partner with the PCNI to achieve its mandate in the health sector. He promised further partnership with the PCNI in the provision of medicine and health-care solutions on need basis.
