Python Dance: Commanders Sustain Supervisory Visits
In line with the directive of the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General TY Buratai, various Formations and Corps Commanders as well as Commanders of the Nigerian Army Training Institutions have been visiting the EGWU EKE 11 Exercise Areas to interact with the troops and assess the ongoing Exercise.
The latest among the Commanders is the Corps Commander Nigerian Army Medical, Brigadier General CB Wanda and the representative of the General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army, (Major General PJ Dauke), represented by Colonel VC Ibeh.
The duo were at the Headquarters Sector 3, the 82 Division Garrison Area of Responsibility where they were received and briefed by the Commander Brigadier General LA Adegboye at about 1300 hours today Monday the 2nd October 2017.
Thereafter, they were conducted round some field locations and check points along Enugu – Nsukka and Enugu – Abakaliki axis to further appreciate the Exercise.
Similarly, the Commander Nigerian Army College of Logistics Major General RC Duru at about 1100 hours on Monday 2nd October 2017 visited Sector 2 Operational Headquarters where he was briefed on the Exercise and later conducted round the hitherto volatile areas of Ohaji Egbema in Imo State.
So far, the entire South East has been peaceful and people are seamlessly carrying out their normal businesses.
In a related development, the General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General AB Abubakar has for the umpteenth time at the step Up Headquarters in Ovim Isukwouto Local Government Area of Abia State to further interact with the troops and supervise the exercise.C of

Commanders Visit Troops in the Frontline
Troops of 27 TF Bde have been urged not to relent in their efforts in denying the adversary freedom of action. The Ag GOC 3 Div, Brig Gen Benjamin Ahanotu made this statement during his address to troops of 27 TF Bde located at Azare, Kamuya and Goniri to mark the country’s 57 Independence Aniversary.
In his address to troops, the Ag GOC urged them not to rest on their oars until the remnants of Boko Haram Terrorists had been swept away. He enjoined them to be vigilant and maintained the momentum in sweeping the remnants of the terrorists away within the Bde’ s Area of Responsibility. He later donated cows to troops of 27 TF Bde and 29 TF Bde to commemorate the Independence Anniversary.
Earlier on arrival at HQ 27 TF Bde located in Buniyadi, the Ag GOC and his entourage was received and briefed by the Commander, Brig Gen Aminu Bande.
The Ag GOC’s visit to 27 TF Bde was in compliance with AHQ directive that Commanders should spend Independence Anniversary with troops in the frontline.
The Ag GOC is expected to visit HQ 233 Bn Damaturu and Sasawa, one of the unit’s location today. The visit is to appreciate their sacrifice and also serve as a morale booster to the troops deployed at the frontlines.
The Ag GOC was accompanied during the visit by Comd 3 Div Prov Gp, Col SN Eze, DDAPR Col KO Ogunsanya and DCOS G1 Col AGL Haruna.
