    How NEMA North-East Boss Dies in Maiduguri

    The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has announced the sudden death of its North-East Zonal Coordinator Abdulsalam Muhammed Badamasi who died early morning on Friday in Maiduguri, Borno State.

    Abdulsalam who was regarded as one of the most hard-working and commited NEMA coordinators was suspected to have died after a fall in the bathroom.

    The deceased was Zonal Cordinator of the North Central zone in Jos Plateau State before of his redeployment to Maiduguri about three weeks.

    Weeks before his death, Abdulsalam had been actively engaged in coordinating the distribution of relief materials in Gombe State as the Head of Federal Government Emergency intervention in that axis.

    A day before his death (Thursday) he had received a delegation from the World Food Programme (WFP) on a courtesy visit for a sustained partnership in capacity building and humanitarian activities.

    Late Abdulsalam had also served as Deputy Zonal Cordinator in other geopolitical zones including Enugu and Lagos States.

    Director General of NEMA Engr. Mustapha Maihaja has expressed shock over the sudden death. He prayed to Allah to forgive his soul and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss
