The Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) and African Union is hosting First Regional Conference on stabilization strategy on LCBC countries affected by the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT). The event is holding at the Hilton Hotel N’Djamena Chad.
The welcome address was delivered by The Executive Secretary LCBC Engr Sanusi Imran Abdullah. Other personalities that presented remarks include : Mary-Ellen Mc MecGroaty Acting Resident Coordinator United Nations System in Chad. His Excellency Ambassador Smail Chergui, Commissioner for Peace and Security.

While the conference was declared open by The Honourable Minister of Water Resources Chad, Sadick Abdelkerim Haggar, who represented the Prime Minister of the Republic of Chad, His Excellency Albert Pahimi Padacke.
A paper presentation on Operational Situation Brief was presented by The Force Commander Multinational Joint Task Force, Major General Lucky Irabor.
The 3 day event is been attended by Executive Governors from the LCBC countries, governmental and non governmental organizations and international humanitarian agencies. Also in attendance were members from the military.
