The Command achieved remarkable increase in school enrolment from 52 inmates to 205 inmates, spread across different academic and vocational programs in all Prisons facilities in the State.

22 of the inmates sat for the 2017 Basic Literacy Examination conducted by the Directorate of Adult and Non-formal Education of the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board, and have been placed into Junior Secondary classes. 24 inmates participated in the 2017 Basic Certificate Examination organized by the Plateau State Education Resource Centre which qualified them for placement into Senior Secondary classes.

Lakushi Farm Centre trained 67 inmates in rice production. The inmates where seen through tractor operation, planting, pest and weed control; 15 inmates of Lamingo Farm  Project got training on poultry farming, while 56 inmates are undergoing training on bead making, hair dressing and wood work respectively. More so, efforts are underway for the establishment of National Open University Study Centre in Jos Prison.

The Service gained the support of the Plateau State Government, philanthropist, religious bodies and NGOs who provided funds and services for the realization of the said achievements.

To this end, I wish to express our profound gratitude for this commendable gesture and seek for increased collaborations and support.

The Service remains committed to investing in public safety through secured Prison system and the rehabilitation of inmates.
