Jailbreak: NPS Recaptures 15 Escaped Inmates in Akwa-Ibom
Following the directive by the Controller General of Prisons Ja’afaru Ahmed to recapture fleeing inmates, the Controller of Prisons Akwa Ibom State Command Alex Oditah wishes to inform the general public that out of 29 fleeing inmates, one of the inmates was recaptured this afternoon.
With the arrest this afternoon, 30th December 2017, we now have 15 recaptured inmates in our custody.

The concerted efforts by officers of the Nigerian Prisons Service Akwa Ibom State Command and other sister security agencies led to the arrest of the escaped inmate this afternoon.
The general public is hereby advice to report any suspicious or strange persons to the nearest police station or call the Prisons Command Public Relations Officer on 08063958901.
Once again the general public is enjoy to go about their normal legitimate business as the situation is under control and efforts are being put in place to recapture 28 inmates that are still at large.
