More Prison Officers Decorated Nationwide

Niger state prisons command decorated 13 senior prisons officers with their new ranks Thursday 8th February, 2018. at the state prisons headquarters Minna. Speaking at the occasion,the controller of the state BABA GANA charged the newly promoted officers to rededicate themselves and work harder towards mainstreaming the core values and ethics of the service. According to the controller of prisons, promotion is an added responsibility adding that they should live up to expectations and earn the confidence reposed in them.

In his response,the most senior newly promoted Officer DCP Shehu Ibrahim on behalf of the decorated officers thanked Almighty God, the minister and the controller General of prisons Ja’afaru Ahmed for finding them worthy of the promotion.

Dignitaries who Graced the event are the service chiefs of sister security agencies in the state.A total of 122 commissioned and Senior non commissioned officers were elevated, amongst which are 1DCP 3 ACPs and 1 CSP.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Prisons Service Zone A decorated 150 officers and men recently promoted with their new ranks.

During a joint decoration ceremony between the Zone A headquarter and Lagos Command, ACG K Babalola called on the newly promoted officers to see their elevation as a call to higher responsibilities and to ensure the prisons service moves forward.

CP Tunde Ladipo further advice the essence of promotion is to boost the  morale of officers to be more dedicated to the service  and thanked the CGP Ja’afaru Ahmed for repositoning the service.

Two of the promoted officers, CP J Ezugwu and CP O Adeyeye, expressed appreciation to God and the CGP for their elevation and pledge greater passion and zeal to service.

130 of the promoted officers are in the Lagos Command while 20 are from Zone A Headquarter.
