OIC Secretary General Condemns Suicide Attack in Maiduguri

OIC Secretary General Condemns Suicide Attack in Maiduguri
The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen has strongly condemned the suicide attack in Kasuwan Kifi village in Konduga southeast of the Borno state capital, Maiduguri on Friday, 16 February 2018, which caused the death of 19 people and injured dozens of other. He extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the people and government of Nigeria over this tragedy, and urged the government to intensify efforts in bringing all those responsible for this reprehensible act to justice.
The Secretary General further reiterated the principled position of the OIC that vigorously denounces all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all forms and manifestations, just as it categorically rejects any justifications for terrorism.
