Fashola Challenges Ministry’s Management on Teamwork Delivery

Hon. Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola has tasked management staff and heads of the ministry’s parastatals and agencies to rededicate themselves to hardwork as well as serve as ambassadors of the ministry.

He stated this at the just concluded 2 – day Top Management Retreat held in Kano over the weekend. The Minister said that the retreat was to enable participants brainstorm and review the progress made on the implementation of the projects, programmes and policies of the ministry through teamwork approach. He reminded them that they were occupying their current positions to solve problems, “we are here to solve problems, the end goal is how we improve the lives of our citizens”.

Fashola noted that the ministry, in pursuant, of its mandate of road construction and maintenance, provision of uninterrupted power supply and the provision of houses nationwide has created employment opportunities to millions of Nigerians which invariably has impacted positively on the nation’s economy as attested by the recent statistics on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the 4th quarter of 2017, which indicated growth in the three sectors of the Ministry.
