Army Kills Armed Robbers in Ibadan
The 2 Division Nigerian Army troops operating in an internal security operation nick named Operation Burst engaged in a shoot out with a gang of 6 Armed Robbers in Iwo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

Sequel to a distress call from residents of the area in the early hours of today, Troops of Operation Burst exchange fire in a shoot out with the robbers.
During the exchange of fire 2 robbers were killed, 3 escaped, while 1 was captured with bullet wounds.
No casualty on own troops. 4 locally made pistols, a laptop and 9 mobile phones among other items were recovered. Efforts are on to track down the escapee robbers.
