Sports: Inmates Beat Wardens in Sokoto Prison

The match which was play at the playground of sokoto central prisons by 4:00pm witnessed large turnout from both staff and inmates.

The three unreplied  goals from the inmates was scored in the first half of play, through Thank God Sunday, Dahiru Dan-illela,Isiya Naga’a.This mark the end of the first half play.

The second half begins in brighter note for the warden as they started getting into the game with beautiful passes and concentration before ThankGod cut it short with his individual display and fire a thunderous shoot outside eighteen yard into the top left corner of the net and make the scoreline (4-0).

The game continue making Waves for the inmates, as the warden look helpless and tired. The inmates increase the tally to six goal to nil before a consolation goal was scored by Yusuf Maikano from prisons’ warden to make the scoreline (6-1).In the dying minutes of the game another  brilliant goal from inmates was scored by Dahiru Dan-illela to round it- up to (7-1) and increase his tally to two goals before the final whistle.

At the end of the interesting and exciting encounter the Deputy Controller of Prisons and in-charge Sokoto Prison DCP Idris Muhammed rewards the scorers with #1000 each.
