FG Commissions Erosion Control Project in Gombe
The Federal Government recently, has commissioned and  handed over the erosion/ flood control and Road improvement works at Yalenguruza in Gombe state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Fund Office, Dr. (Mrs) Habiba Lawal in her welcome speech expressed her gratitude to the Yalenguruza Community  for their cooperation with the contractor, which facilitated the sucessful completion of the project.
She noted that Yalenguruza Community, had previously been living in fear of Erosion and Flood disaster which resulted in the collapse of the access link road.
The formal handover and commissioning of the completed project was performed by the Special Guest of Honour, Honourable minister of Water Resources, Engr. Suleiman Adamu Kazaure, who represented the Federal Government at the occasion.
In his Speech, the Minister  expressed delight in the completion of the Project.He assured that the present Administration is keeping faith with it’s Promise of Fairness and that, no Part of the Country will suffer any neglect in the distribution   of dividends of democracy and Projects irrespective to It’s geographical location or Political Consideration.
Appreciating the Federal Government’s efforts, through the Ecological Fund Office (EFO) which is domiciled in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF);  the Minister formally Commissioned and handed over the Project.
 While handing over the certificate to the Gombe State Government, he reiterated the present Administration’s determination to laying a Solid Foundation for Nigeria’s quest for a  Virile and Prosperous Nation on the path of unfettered Economic Development.
He also underscored the Regime’s determination to continue with the implementation of all genuine Government’s Policies, Agreements and Contracts made by the previous administration’s at both National and International levels.
Also present at the event is the representative of the Executive Governor of the State, Hajia Sahadatu Sa’ad who, is the Commissioner for Environment. She received the Hand-over Certificate. The State Commissioner of Water Resources was also on hand to welcome the Minister and his entourage.
It would be recalled that Yerunguruza project is one of the projects Mr. President,  President Buhari, GCFR approved for contract award and was executed through Ecological Fund Office, Office of the secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) in 2017.
