Sallah Break: Kano Releases 317 Prison Inmates

The Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in exercising the  power conferred on him by the Constitution of FRN 1999 as amended  has released 317 Prisoners out of costody, accross the Prison formation in Kano State.

This is to mark the Edil Fitr celebration.The 317 inmates comprises of young offenders,old ages,sick and those above 65 yrs.Who mostly  are less previlledge.The Govt. therefore decided to settle their fine and compensation. His Excellency, the Kano State Governor said nearly 12 m.was spent for the exercise.

The Controller of Prisons Kano Magaji A.Abdullahi commended the Kano State goverment for the loudable, humanitarian gesture, and therefore thanks the Governor for the relentless concern and support to the incarcerated members of  our costody and his effort to decongest prisons in Kano.
