NPS Seeks Cooperation of Nigerian Army, Airforce for Prisons
The General Officer Commanding, 2 Division Nigerian Army, Odogbo Barracks Ibadan, Major General Okwudili Fidelis Azinta and his counterpart in the Airforce, the Commander 671 Detachment Ibadan, Air Commodore R. K Shittu have both pledged their continued support to the Nigerian Prisons Service NPS, Oyo State Command.
This was made known during a separate visit to both security organisations in furtherance of the Controller of Prisons Oyo State Command, CP Tosin Akinrujomu’s familiarisation tour to security agencies and some corporate organisations in the State.

Responding to the Controller’s appreciation of the impact of the Nigerian Army to the security of Oyo and Agodi Prisons and his desire for such to continue, the GOC responded that the Nigerian Army is ready to support the service in securing her facilities from external attacks while also imploring the Prisons Service to assist more in Intelligence gathering and sharing.
On his part, the Commander 671 Detachment of the Nigerian Airforce appreciates the coming of the Controller of Prisons and promise to continue to help the service in every possible way especially in the area of security. He emphatically stated that part of the secrets to low crime rate in Oyo State is the cordial relationship maintained by all the security agencies in the state, he concluded that this must not stop.
