Police Parade Notorious Bauchi Criminals

In our continuous effort in the fight against crime and criminality in the state, the Bauchi State Police Command under the leadership of CP Sanusi N. Lemu, psc has during the period under review clamped down on suspects in connection with different criminal cases across the state as follows:

ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS
Following an intelligence report, received by the Command on the activities of notorious armed robbery syndicate that have been terrorizing innocent members of the public, on 24/9/2018 at about 1800hrs, the Command arrested the following armed robbery suspects in connection with series of armed robbery cases in Bauchi metropolis:

i. Aliyu Yusuf a. k. a. Galanti 25yrs ‘m’ of Kobi street Bauchi
ii. Adamu Mohammed a. k. a. Essein 18yrs ‘m’ of Kofar Dumi ward Bauchi
iii. Bilal Aliyu a. k. a. Tsagera 18yrs ‘m’ of Tudun Yerima ward Bauchi
iv. Isma’il Haruna a. k. a. Iluwa 18yrs ,m’ of Dutsen- tanshi ward Bauchi
Mansir Mu’azu aka Don 20yrs ‘m’ of Dutsen Tanshi ward Bauchi
Adamu Mohammed a. k. a. Jagwaleti 21yrs ‘m’ of Kandahar Bauchi.

The above mentioned suspects were on 29/7/2018 at about 0130hrs, criminally conspired among themselves while armed with machetes and sticks and stormed the residence of the following persons:

(i) Abdullahi Garba ‘m’ and
(ii) Okafor Bright ‘m’ both of Federal Low Cost ward, Bauchi and robbed them the following items:

(i) One Haojue motorcycle Valued N100,000:00
(ii) Two Tecno handset valued N13,500:00
(iii) Three plasma television valued N200,000:00
(iv) Two HP laptops valued N96,000:00
(v) One Micro wave Valued N35,000 and;
(vi) Six different Handset valued N200,000 and escaped to unknown destination with the items.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:

i. Tecno T472 Handset
ii. 42 Inches LG Plasma Television
iii. One Haojue Motorcycle

2. CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY AND ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF LOCALLY MADE FIRE ARM
Following a tip-off on 17/10/2018, the Command arrested the following armed robbery suspects in Shira LGA of the state:

i. Sa’idu Ibrahim 25yrs ‘m’ Daburgu village Shira LGA
ii. Babangida Adamu 22yrs ‘m’ Chakwatti village Shira LGA
iii. Hassan Umar 20yrs ‘m’ Chakwatti village Shira LGA
v. Mohammed Adamu 20yrs ‘m’ Baduware village Shira LGA
vi. Umaru Dankawu 19yrs ‘m’ Daburga village Shira LGA

The suspects were on 6/10/2018 at about 0030hrs, criminally conspired, armed themselves with the locally made pistol and sticks and stormed the residence of one Muhammadu Gidado ‘m’ of Ganma village, Shira LGA and robbed him of cash sum of N60,000:00 and escaped. Similarly on 16/10/2018 about 0130hrs the same group of suspects in a similar style stormed the residence of one Alhaji Muhammadu Sani aka Dandayo ‘m’ of Chakwati Sabuwa Shira LGA and robbed him the cash sum of N4,575.

During interrogation all the suspects confessed to the crime.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:
i. One (1) Locally made pistol
ii. Cash sum of N 4,575

3. CRIMINAL CONSIPARACY AND ARMED ROBBERY
On 21/10/2018 at about 2015hrs one Ibrahim Ali M’ of Karofin Madaki area, Bauchi a commercial motorcyclist reported at the Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Division that on the same date at about 1930hrs, while conveying two passengers namely Shamsuddeen Umar and his friend Ibrahim Mohammed both of Gwangwangwan area of Bauchi to a Government Comprehensive Secondary School football pitch along Fadaman Mada road, on reaching the School, the passengers brought out a knife and stabbed him on his chest and shoulder and attempted to snatch his Boxer motorcycle. The cyclist shouted and one of the suspects Shamsuddeen Umar was arrested. During investigation the suspect voluntarily confessed to the crime.

4. ARREST OF SUSPECTS WHO SPECIALIZED IN THEFT AND RECEIVING STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
Following a report received from one Baba Sadiq ‘m’ of Madina querters, Bauchi that on 17/08/2018 at about 0300hrs, unknown persons stole his motor vehicle Toyota Corolla, white in colour Reg. no. BAU-241-HB valued N2, 000,000.00k. Discreet Investigation by the command operatives led to the arrest of the following suspects:

i. Abdulkareem Musa ‘m’ 44yrs and
ii. Abdullahi Saleh ‘m’ 40yrs
while the stolen vehicle was also recovered at Jos, Plateau state.

Further investigation led to the recovery of one Honda Civic motor vehicle, black in colour with registration no. BAU-556-EKY.

5 .ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS, TERRORIZING BAUCHI METROPOLIS

Following a complain received from one Hadiza Abubakar ‘f’ of Abujan Kwata on 4/4/2018, that on the same date at about 0300hrs, four armed men stormed her residence and threatened to kill her thereafter covered her face with sack and robbed her the following items:

i. Sum of N528,000.00k
ii. Three (3) bed sheet
iii. DVD player
iv. Pairs of shoes
v. Tecno handset

Discreet investigation led to the arrest of one Hamza Idris who is a labourer to her husband,
Bashir Mohammed an accomplice and one Abdulrasheed Abdullahi a. k. a. ‘Gwoska’ a wanted, armed robbery suspect.

Exhibit recovered include:
i. One Tecno handset robbed from the complainant.

6. CULPABLE HOMICIDE
On 6/10/18 at about 2030hrs, one Muhammad Lumo ‘m’ of Bununu ward Tafawa Balewa reported at Bununu Police Division that on the same date at about 2000hrs his nephew one Ahmad Muhammad ‘m’ of the same address now deceased had a misunderstanding with one Nasiru Tanimu, as a result fight ensued between them and Nasiru Tanimu collected a knife from one Harissu Samaila and stabbed the said Ahmad Muhammad on the stomach, as a result he sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to Primary Health Care Centre Bununu and later referred to ATBU Teaching Hospital, Bauchi but died while on admission.

The two suspects Nasiru Tanimu and Harissu Sama’ila were all arrested and are in police custody while the the case is under investigation.

CRIMINAL CONSIPIRACY AND ARMED ROBBERY:
On 9/10/2018 at about 2100hrs, the Command received a report that unknown armed men numbering about six (6) invaded in to the residence of one Bala Abdulsalam and Yunusa Abubakar all of Yankari village robbed them some valuable items thereafter escaped to unknown distination.
On receipt of the report the report operatives of the Command swung in to action discreet which led to the arrest of the following suspects:

i. Bawa Ahmadu m’ 18yrs old
ii. Ashiru Ibrahim m’ 16yrs
iii. Mohammed Adamu m’ 17yrs
iv. Ishiaku Mallam m’ 17yrs all of Yankari village, Alkaleri LGA Bauchi.

During interrogation all the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:

i. Three (3) Cutlasses
ii. One Stick.

All cases mentioned above are under investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court.
