Police Nab Armed Robbers in Anambra

Police Nab Armed Robbers in Anambra

During the week under review the Command has recorded cases of interest to members of the Public as follows,
ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE :On the 18/11/2018 at about 2:30pm following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Ogidi division arrested at Onitsha the following suspects,
– Ubasinachi Akasi ‘m’ aged 34 Years.
– Ukwueze Simon ‘m’ aged 36 years.
Suspects snatched a Toyota Sienna vehicle with REG number Lagos Kpp 967 PJ from their victim at Gun point.

Meanwhile, exhibit was recovered and case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

ARREST OF ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF ARM/AMMUNITION:On the 18/11/2018 at about 4:pm following intelligence report, Operatives attached to Federal special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) Awka trailed and arrested the following suspects at Nise, Awka.
– Chukwujekwu Akabueze ‘m’ aged 26 years,
-Abuchi Okpala ‘m’ aged 22 years,
-Anthony Ofordile ‘m’ aged 22 years and,
-Nonso Madubuikelee ‘m’ aged 32 years.
Suspects conspired, robbed and shot one Chukwu Nonye ‘m’ of Awka in his stomach at Ameanyi,Awka on the 15/11/2018.

Meanwhile, exhibits recovered from them include,
-One locally made revolver pistol with one live ammunition ,
-One fabricated English Pistol,
-One Daihatsu Shuttle bus with REG number ANS 903 XD.They have all confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to Court for prosecution after investigation is concluded.

ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF ARMS/AMMUNITION:On the 18/11/2018 at about 8:20pm, Police detectives attached to Nnewi Division in conjunction with vigilante group while on Patrol at Ndiakwu Anozie Area intercepted three Men ridding on an unregistered Motorcycle,while searching the suspects the following exhibits were recovered,
-One single barrel gun and three live Cartridges.

Meanwhile, two of the suspects namely Maduabuchi Ani ‘m’ aged 25.years of Nike Enugu State and Nanawn Justus ‘m’ aged 23 years were arrested while one suspect escaped into the bush. Investigation in progress and effort is ongoing to get the fleeing suspect arrested.

ARREST OF SUSPECTED FRAUDSTER:On the 20/11/2018 operatives attached to Nnewi Area Command while on surveillance patrol arround Access Bank Nnewi arrested one Obinna Okafor ‘m’ aged 30 years of Enugu-Ezike in Enugu State.

Suspect specializes in duping unsuspecting victims around automated teller machine centres by swapping their ATM cards with another stolen ATM in his possession,he was arrested while withdrawing money using ATM Card stolen from a medical student in Nnewi.

Meanwhile, exhibits recovered in his possession include Eight different ATM Cards reasonably suspected to have been stolen from his victims and sum of One hundred and twenty Thousand Naira (#120,000) already withdrawn from his victim’s account at the Point of his arrest.Case under investigation after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.

The Command assures the Public of its commitments towards ensuring safety and security in the State,please.
