Police Nab Vandals of Government Properties in Bauchi
In our unrelenting effort in the fight against crime and criminality in the state, the Bauchi State Police Command under the leadership of CP Ali Aji Janga, psc has during the week under review clamped down on suspects in connection with different criminal cases across the State as follows:
ARREST OF SUSPECTS AND RECOVERY OF VANDALISED GOVERNMENT PROPERTIES
On 16/01/2019 at about 1300HRS following tip-off operatives attached to State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the command intercepted and arrested the following suspects:-
i. Fidelis Ewona of Cross River State the Gang leader
ii. Mohammed Mala Yusuf from Jigawa State_ Engineer
iii. Alhaji Dan Gombe Muda Lawal market Bauchi
iv. Yusuf Ahmed _Muda Lawal market Bauchi
v. Lawan Ahmed_ Muda Lawan market Bauchi
vi. Mohammed Yusuf Yellow_ Muda Lawal market Bauchi – Driver
vii. Okasha Umar Yankari Workshop Bauchi – Driver
viii. Mussaddam Sabo Keke _Muda Lawal market Bauchi
ix. Ibrahim Garba Muda Lawal market Bauchi – Driver
x. Mohammed Zakariya Muda Lawal market Bauchi

The suspects were arrested in possession of two (2) GBW 10KVA power generators vandalised at two sites of National Public Security Communication System (NPSCS) project in Alkaleri LGA, along Gombe road Bauchi State, thereby sabotaging the Federal Government effort of equipping the police and other security agencies with modern security gadgets to perform their duties of protection of lives and property of its citizens efficiently.
The suspects are in the wanted list of the command in connection with vandalisation and theft in some telecommunication sites belonging to both government and private companies in Bauchi and neighbouring states of Gombe and Yobe among others.
Other exhibits recovered from the suspects include:
i. Crane loaded with exhibits with registration number
ii. XM-202-LSR
J5 Truck with registration number BAU-548-XA
The suspects confessed voluntarily to the crime and are giving useful information to the police in the investigation.
The case is under investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court as soon as possible.
Once again the command wishes to appreciate the members of the public for their continuous support and cooperation in its quest to rid the state of crime and criminality.
