Troops Pursue Boko Haram in Buni-Yadi Axis
As part of his routine operational visit to formation/units under Sector 2, Area of Responsibilty (AOR), the Acting Commander Sector 2, Brigadier General Mohammed Dala, paid an operational visit to Headquarters 27 Task Force Brigade Buni-Yadi, Yobe state on Sunday, 10th February 2019.
During the operational visit, Brigadier General Dala tasked the Commander, 27 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General Akinniyi Oyelade on measures to ensure the continuous improvement on the security of lives and property in his AOR, by promptly carrying out ambushes and clearance operations on any convergence of Boko Haram criminal elements, as well as their hideouts.

The Acting Commander Sector 2, further urge Brigadier General Oyelade, to be relentless in dealing with the Boko Haram criminal elements and also denying them freedom of action, by ensuring that troops continue to dominate the main supply routes with daily patrols and also provide escorts for motorist, in other to enhance the safety of lives and property along these routes, especially the Damaturu – Biu road.
Brigadier General Dala, also reiterated the need for constant maintenance of operational equipment, “ As only functional operational equipment can guaranty optimal performance” He later directed the immediate medical evacuation of 2 soldiers wounded in action, in a recent onslaught on Boko Haram criminal elements, to the 27 Task Force Brigade field ambulance hospital Damaturu, for proper medical attention.
He was received and briefed on operational activities within 27 Task Force Brigade, by the Commander, Brigadier General Akinniyi Oyelade.
The Acting Commander Sector 2, was accompanied during the operational visit by the Commanders of Sector 2; Signals Brigade, Military Intelligence Brigade and Provost Group.
