Nigerian Army Commences WASA in Enugu
The 82 Division, Nigerian Army, will hold its West African Social Activities (WASA) on Saturday 30th March 2019 by 2:00pm prompt at 82 Division Parade Ground Abakpa Cantonment Enugu.
Historically, WASA which dates back to the Second World War is a revered tradition of the Nigerian Army during which Officers, Soldiers and their families interact and socialize in a relaxed atmosphere to mark the end of the year’s activities thereby enhancing espirit-de-corps within the command.
It is also a great avenue to thank God and appreciate Nigerian Army personnel for their selfless contributions to the success in the out gone year
(2018) while ushering the New Year.

Also, WASA affords personnel the unique opportunity to display their various rich cultural heritages through traditional dances.
It also plays an important role of reminding the old Barracks generation with nostalgia of the good old village days and at the same time; connect the younger generation born outside their communities to their roots.
This year’s 82 Division WASA will be exceptionally great, as the Division has made necessary arrangements to showcase different cultural troupes who will perform at the event.
His Excellency the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
