Eid Celebration: Governor Ganduje Releases 200 Prisoners in Kano

The Executive Governor of Kano State Dr Abdullah Umar Ganduje OFR paid the sum of eleven million five hundred and seventy-nine thousand two hundred and eighty-nine Naira.(#11,579,289.00) as compensation and fine for the released of 200 Inmates across Prisons in Kano State.

Ganduje also donated 3 cows to inmate for Edil Fitir celebration.

The Governor admonished the released inmates to be of good behavior, and law abiding members of the society, he further said that since the inception of his administration, he has facilitated the released of 2517 Inmates, a gesture he said, has helped in decongesting the prisons within the state.

The Controller of Prisons Kano State Command, Magaji A Abdullahi represented by the DCP Admin Yahuza Aliyu thanked the Governor for the relentless support and assistance given to inmates and the Service.

Aliyu urged the released Prisoners to be good ambassadors of the Prison and to put the skills learnt to use to ensure their self sufficiency outside the prison.
