Police Nab Rapist of Deaf-Dumb Girl, Rescue New Baby
On the 12/6/2019 at about 12:30pm, Police detectives attached to B’ division Awka arrested one Ifeany Alagba ‘m’ aged 28 years of Amoko road, ifite Awka .
Suspect allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge with an eleven years old deaf and dumb girl of same address on the 9/6/2019 while the victim mother was away.
Meanwhile, scene was visited by Police detectives and victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination.Case is under investigation.

On the 12/06/ 2019 at about 1:pm,there was a report at Osumenyi Police Station by the officials of Primary health care center obiuno village in Osumeyi that on Monday 10/06/2019 at about 11:20am,a yet to be identified Pregnant woman who was at the Point of delivery rushed to the health care center.
She was quickly attended to and fifteen minutes later she successfully delivered a baby girl while the nurses
left to attend to other patients.
However, shortly after the delivery, the woman abandoned the baby and disappeared to unknown destination leaving behind the child at the mercy of the nurses at the health care center.
Meanwhile, Police operatives attached to Juvenile and welfare unit, Osumenyi division visited the scene and efforts are being intensified to trace the fleeing mother in order to bring her to Justice.
Consequently, arrangements have been concluded to hand over the baby to Government orphanage for custodial care.
