How Buhari’s in-law Regained Freedom from Kidnappers’ Den
A senior traditional title holder in Daura Emirate Council in Katsina State, Alhaji Musa Umar Uba, who was abducted by gunmen on May 1, May 2019, has regained freedom on July 2, 2019.

The traditional ruler, who holds the title of Magajin Garin Daura, is a retired Customs Controller and a cousin of the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar.

He is married to Hajiya Bilki, a niece to President Muhammadu Buhari, being the daughter of his elder sister, Hajiya Rakiya. He is also the father of Fatima, who is married to the president’s Aide De Camp (ADC), Col. Mohammed Abubakar.

He was abducted on May 1 by gunmen who stormed his residence in the ancient city of Daura.

In a wired security report obtained by PRNigeria, the Buhari’s in-law was freed by a rescue team from Abba Kyari’s IRT operatives.

The statement states thus: “Today 2/7/19 The IGP Intelligence Response team Successfully Rescued Alhaji MUSA UMAR Daura Magajin Garin Daura Katsina State who was Kidnapped on 1/5/19 in his hometown Daura Katsina State.

“In line with the Directives Of IGP Adamu Mohd, IRT Operatives Led By DCP Abba Kyari Conducted 6 weeks unrelenting follow up together with OC SIB Kaduna state and OC SIB Niger State. High level Intelligence Led Operations was conducted in Kaduna, Bauchi, Niger, Katsina, Katsina and Kogi States which resulted to the Arrest Of 11 of the Terrorist/kidnappers including the overall Gangleader and Rescue of the Victim In Panshekara Area Of Kano City on 2/9/19 by 0700hrs.

“One of the Terrorist/kidnappers was killed during the Rescue Operation Assisted by CP Kano State, DC Operations Kano State, ACP Operation Kano state, OC SARS kano State, PMF and Other Police Units Who Assisted IRT In Subduing and Over powering the kidnappers which enabled the Successful Rescue Of the Victim.

“Several AK47 Rifles and Ammunitions Recovered and Several of the Kidnappers arrested alive. Kudos to Nigerian Police Force, Kudos to IGP Adamu Mohd and Kudos to IRT.”
