Jubilation as Malami resumes as AGF
Amidst jubilation today, Abubakar Malami was welcome back to the Federal Ministry of Justice as the new Minister and Attorney General of Federation. The re- appointed Minister, who drove straight to the Ministry after the inauguration of the Ministers, was one of the 43, Ministers designated to serve in the second tenor of President Muhammadu Buhari’s next level administration.
In his brief introduction of the re-appointed Minister, the Solicitor General of Federation/ Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Dayo Apata, gave kudos to President Buhari for the re-appointment of Malami as the Attorney General of Federation .According to him, Abubakar Malami coming back to the Ministry showed that, Mr President recognised his good work during the last four years which he definitely wanted him to come back and finished.
He congratulated the Staff of the Ministry and enjoined them to cooperate with the Minister in order to take the Ministry to the next level.
Malami in his response appreciated the entire Staff for the warm welcome accorded him as he entered the Ministry. “I am overwhelmed by the reception given to me when I entered the Ministry; it showed that we had good time together in my last time”. He said his coming back to the Ministry as the Attorney General/ Honourable Minister was through the Staff of the Ministry’s collective effort. He implored them to do it again so that together they would move forward the policies and activities assigned to the Ministry.
Malami said he was committed to the collective welfare of the staff so he expected them to be more proactive in their duties as they have collective activity to work as family.
