The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola stated this today in Abuja when he paid as part of his familiarisation visit to the Nigerian Correctional service.

“We will support you to reduce to a large extent, those who are coming under your care from going back to crime,” he stressed.

The Minister added that rehabilitation and readjustment should be the focus of the Nigeria Correctional Service in the country.

Ogbeni Aregbesola enjoined staff of the Ministry and all it agencies to ensure compliance to the SET (Security, Economy and Transparency) agenda of this administration, in order to achieve the mandate of the ministry which is security of Nigerians.
