Opayemi, who succeeded John Ehiguese, promised to further reposition the association. Earlier, Ehiguese, who served for two term as President, had spoken glowingly about his confidence in the new exco.
Apart from Mr. Opayemi, elected as the new President, other officers elected unopposed include Adedayo Ojo, CEO, Caritas (Vice President), Bolaji Abimbola, CEO, Indigo Communications as Publicity Secretary and Raheem Olabode of CMC Connect as Treasurer, among others.
In his inaugural presentation as President, Chido Nwakama, pointed out “serving PRCAN is a labour of love and self denial, which is the main reason why people are not ready to commit themselves to the association because there are no immediate benefits”.
The new President declared that the new exco will work to reposition PRCAN and take it to the acme of perfection so that people will tussle to serve in the nearest future. The new exco according to the President, will focus on four cardinal points namely: advocacy, professionalism, structure/administration and capacity building.
