Army War College Graduates 66 Officers

The graduands of Army War College Nigeria Course 3/2019 have been charged to match the knowledge they acquired to the performance on the field of operation.

The call was made by the Commandant of the college, Major General Charles Ofoshe during the graduation of 66 military officers in Abuja.

Ofoshe who was confident on the skills acquired by the officers said having painstakingly underscored the facets of critical thinking, system thinking, and creative thinking in professional military education offered at the college, they would be able to address the insecurity threat in Nigeria.

According to him, “The military courses are painstakingly designed to equip the graduands the requisite skills and knowledge to function effectively at the military strategic and operational levels.”

“As they’ve been found worthy in both character and in learning, the task ahead are enormous and expectations are very high,” the commandant said

“This is an indispensable and valuable resource of proffering solutions to the numerous global security threats.”

He commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai for his supports and for placing premium on training and infrastructural development.

He said General Buratai provided well equipped complex to ensure that the participants maintain and exercise good health with the aim of having a sound mind and sound body.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Defence, General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), who doubles as the Special Guest of Honour challenged the officers to imbibe the leadership traits that are enduring and devoid of stereotypes.

Magashi added that his ministry would continue to support the college with strategic guidance and other need resources for the upkeep of the college.
