BPSR to conduct perception survey on TSA, other reform initiatives
The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) has disclosed that it will carry out some perception surveys, together with institutional and impact assessment of the various reform initiatives at the federal level.
The Bureau’s Director General (DG), Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, said they are going to begin with the Treasury Single Account (TSA), before embarking on others.
He disclosed this at a media parley with newsmen in Abuja recently.
The DG, said the objective of the study is to find out from Nigerians if they truly understand what is TSA.
“We would be going out to find out whether TSA is really working, how is has benefitted them, or is it a problem to them.
“We are also going to ask government agencies that are managers of TSA what are the successes, the shortcomings, and challenges around TSA,” he added.
Arabi, while speaking further, noted that TSA is one of the by-products of the National Strategy on Public Service Reforms (NSPSR), and is centred on public financial management in order to fight corruption and reduce the level of man-to-man contact in processing government finances.
