Britain Commends Campaigns against Violent Extremism, Gender-Based Violence
The British High Commission (BHC), in Nigeria has commended the collaborative efforts of Security organizations for their strategic role in ensuring low crime rate of Violent Extremism and Gender-Based Violence GBV against Women and Children in Nigeria.
The British High Commissioner, represented by the Deputy High Commissioner Gill Atkinson, gave the commendation in a roundtable with Heads of Security Agencies on thursday held at the state Police Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.

She noted that the peaceful nature of the state and lowest rate of Extremism and Gender-Based Violence recorded in Kebbi was largely due to strong collaboration among sister security agencies which needed to be sustain.
She expressed BHC readiness to collaborate to combat GBV in Kebbi State.
Heads of Security Agencies at the roundtable include, Police Commissioner Mr GARBA MD PSC+ State Director of Security Mr Muhammad A Kaumi mni, and senior officers of NDLEA, NSCDC, IMMIGRATION and Controller of Nigerian Correctional Service Kebbi State Command represented by ACC Idris Garba.
