    University Don Sponsors 150 Indigent Students in Kano

    As one of his ways of showing appreciation, one of the beneficiaries of Kwankwasiyya educational scholarship has sponsored more than 150 students who hail from less privileged families in Kano state to study in various institutions in Nigeria.

    Dr Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, who was once sponsored by the administration of former Kano state Governor, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to study in Malaysia, said he has decided to emulate his human development gesture of the empowering youths educationally in order to reduce the number of out of school children to the barest minimum in the state.

    Speaking to PoliticsDigest, Dr. Muhammad said the initiative which started in 2019 has so far sponsored 45 students to study various courses, particularly in the universities in Kano and other neighboring states, 40 in Islamiyyah schools and more than 70 in various Primary and Secondary schools.
