While at the Custodial Centre, he inspected the cooking of inmates’ food and had a taste of the food. He later moved round the center and interacted with the inmates. He had words of commendations for what he saw within the facility. He applauded the officer in-charge, DC Johnbull Saudje for the hospitable and general cleanliness of the environment.

The CG’s next port of call, were the Furniture Cottage Industry and the K-9 unit. General Manager of the industry, CSC Yahaya Usman, led the CGC round the industrial complex. Showing him the machineries and their products. However, the CGC assured the GM of awarding contract subsequently to the Cottage Industry for the production of furniture. While at the K-9 unit, the Head of Unit, CSC Dayo Ogunsanya, explained their mode of operations. He was impressed with the well fed dogs at the kennel. In his words, “your dogs are well fed, healthy and agile. Unlike some other people’s dogs. Keep it up”

Part of the CG’s entourage were ACG Kasali Yusuf, Zonal Co-ordinator, Zone F Command and Controller of Corrections, CC Francis Enebore, National Public Relations Officer (NPRO)

The Controller General has since returned to Abuja.
