Police Nab Miscreants who Cut Victims Hand in Katsina
You will recall that in my Press Briefing NO. CZ:5250/KTS/PPRO/VOL.4/18 of 8th March, 2020 in which bandits attacked Yakasai village of Kurfi LGA of Katsina state and kidnapped two victims on 07/03/2020 at about 23:30hrs. In the process, DPO Kurfi and team led an ambush against the hoodlums, engaged them in a gun duel and rescued all the kidnap victims while many of the hoodlums escaped with gunshot wounds.

Subsequently, on 08/03/2020, the DPO led a search party in to Yan-marke cattle route and recovered the corpse of a notorious bandit, one Tukur Atti, alias “TUKURU”, m, aged 25yrs of Ummadau village, Zakka Ward of Safana LGA of Katsina state. Consequently, due to the ongoing thorough and meticulous investigation being carried out by the Command, yesterday, 12/03/2020 at about 17:30hrs, the Command recovered one AK 47 rifle with twenty-six rounds of 7.62mm ammunition belonging to the killed bandit, Tukur Atti, alias “Tukuru’.

ARREST/SMASHING OF A NOTORIOUS SYNDICATE OF SOCIAL MISCREANTS OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “KAURAYE” WHO CUT OFF THEIR VICTIM’S : On 11/03/2020 at about 03:00hrs, the Command succeeded in smashing a notorious syndicate of “Kauraye’ terrorizing Katsina metropolitan area. Nemesis caught up with the trio of (1) Nasiru Ali, alias “ILEKO”, m, aged 25yrs of Tayoyi Quarters, Katsina, (2) Nafi’u Mu’azu, alias “KULO”, m, aged 20yrs of Rafin Dadi Quarters, Katsina and (3) Abdulsamdu Ashiru alias “AWUWA”, m, aged 23yrs of Gafai Quarters, Katsina when they attacked one Ibrahim Bello, alias “BALLO RUWA”, m, aged 23yrs of Mallamawa village, Jibia LGA of Katsina state at Kofar Yandaka Quarters, Katsina and cut off his wrist with a cutlass.

The victim was rushed to Orthopaedic Hospital, Katsina where he has been admitted and currently receiving treatment. In the course of investigation, suspects confessed to the commission of the offence. An investigation is ongoing.
