COVID – 19: NCoS Restricts Visitations to Inmates except Close Relatives

Port Harcourt Maximum Custodial Center takes measures to protect Inmates from the dreaded Corona Virus by temporarily restricting visitors into the custodial centers in the state till further notice.

However, close Inmate relatives can deliver essential items after washing their hands and their temperature checked by a medical personnel before delivering the item to a staff who will in turn pass on to the Inmate, this is to ensure that there is no contact between the Inmate and their visitors as we can’t ascertain if the visitors have been in contact with an infected person on their way to the Custodial Center.
