Police Nab Jeep-Snatching Robbers in Anambra

Police Nab Jeep-Snatching Robbers in Anambra
Arrested four suspects and recovers a dismantled jeep allegedly snatched by same gang

On the 3/4/2020 at about 9:45pm,following a tip off,police operatives attached to Abagana Division arrested two suspects in connection with snatching of a LEXUS 330 JEEP with Reg no:ACA 348 HM from one Uzoigwe Nkemjika ‘m’ of plot No 2/9 Ike Ekweremadu Avenue Enugu on the 31/3/2020 along Abagana-Eziowelle road .The Suspects are,
(i) Thank God Akwo ‘m’ aged 30years of Ogidi and ,
(ii) Onwe Hillary ‘m’ aged 32 years of Ebonyi State.

However,further investigation led to the arrest of two other members of same gang in Imo State as follows,
(iii)Tirimisiyu Tijani ‘m’ aged 27years from Ibaban in Oyo State and,
(Iiv) Suleiman Raheem ‘m’ aged 30years from Kwara State, both resides at Okoro meje ,Orlu in Imo State respectively.

Meanwhile,the stolen jeep was recovered inside a panel beating workshop at Amaifeke, Orlu in Imo State where it was dismantled and going through total overhaul. Also recovered is the operational vehicle (a white Mitsubishi L 300 bus with reg no:AAH 536ZV)used by the syndicate in committing the Crime.Suspects have all confessed to the crime voluntarily and investigation is still ongoing after which all the culprits would be brought to justice.

2 CHILD STEALING/ARREST OF SUSPECT AND RESCUE OF VICTIM

On the 7/4/2020 at about 01am,Police operatives attached to Otoucha Division in collaboration with vigilante group arrested at Ezi-Agulu Otu in Anam East LGA, one Oluchukwu Eze Geogina ‘f’ aged 30years of Mgbo Izaa in Ebonyi State.

Suspect allegedly stole one Miracle Obidike ‘f’ aged 3years of Nkunando village in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State on the 6/4/2020 at about 7pm.

Meanwhile,the victim who was rescued from the suspect was handed over to the parent and case transferred to the State CID Awka for discreet investigation.

3 ARREST OF MURDER SUSPECTS:

On the 6/4/2020 at about 6pm there was distress call that a fight ensued between family members of same parents in Umunam village Amorka in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State following a quarrel.As a results,two persons sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Following the report,Police operatives attached to Uli division led by the DPO CSP Ejeh Joseph visited the scene and rushed the victims to the Infant Jesus hospital Amoka for medical attention where a medical doctor confirmed one Emeka Umezurike ‘m’ aged 35years of same address dead on arrival while one other was treated and discharged.

Meanwhile,three suspects namely Ikechukwu Umezuike ‘m’ aged 38years(2)Edith Umezuruike ‘f’ aged 26years and Nmesoma Umezuruike ‘m’ age not yet ascertained all of the same address were arrested while corpse of the deceased was deposited at Chipon mortuary Awka for autopsy.

Consequently,the Commissioner Police CP John B.Abang,fdc has ordered for discreet investigation by the State Criminal investigation department,Awka to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.
