NEMA North-East Coordinator Dies in Borno
The North East Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, Alhaji Ahmed Minin has died.
He died on Tuesday afternoon in Maiduguri after a brief illnes.
In a statement posted on the official Facebook page of NEMA Northeast says “with a heavy heart and total submission to the will of the Almighty, we regret to announce the passing away of Zonal Coordinator NEMA Northeast, Alhaji Ahmed Saidu Minin after a brief illnes “
The late zonal coordinator has since been laid to rest at Gwange cemetery in the evening in Maiduguri according to Islamic rites.
PRNigeria gathered that one of his last public engagements was at the hosting of a Sensitization Workshop on Prevention of Covid 19 pandemic for Internally Displaced Persons, Camp Managers and Camp Health workers at women Development Center maiduguri Borno state.
Alhaji Ahmed Minin who hails from Niger state assumed office as Zonal Coordinator on January 3, 2019.
Nigerian Navy Suspends Resumption for New Recruit
The Nigerian Navy has suspended the resumption for training of successful candidates of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School (NNBTS) Batch 30.
The candidates were initially scheduled to commence training at the NNBTS, Onne Port-Harcourt, Rivers State on 8 May 2020. However, this resumption date is no longer feasible in view of the current national efforts at containing the spread of COVID-19.
