Plateau CJ Grants Amnesty to 88 Prison Inmates
The Chief Judge of plateau state, Justice G.Y Dakwak on his 2nd quarter jail delivery, released 88 inmates in plateau state.

As part of the effort to decongest correctional facilities in the state, the Chief Judge embarked on decongestion visit to all custodial centres on the 1st to 2nd June 2020 with Jos custodial centre as his first port of call, where forty nine awaiting trial males facing minor offences were discharged, seven awaiting trial males in shendam, fifteen from lantang, fourteen in pankshin and 3 in wase custodial centre ,making the total of 88 inmates across the state.
The inmates who benefited from this decongestion visit were all grateful for the opportunity given to them to turn a new leaf,as they all shower blessings on the chief judge with a round of applause.
The chief judge was in company of the representative of the commissioner of police, the controller of corrections plateau state command and judges of local courts.
