CCC to Prof. Dambatta: ‘Your Reappointment a Testimony of Focused Leadership‘

The Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) says the re-appointment of Prof. Umar Garba Dambatta as Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), was made possible because of the desirable leadership qualities exhibited by the NCC boss.

In a congratulatory message, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (rtd.), felicitated with Prof. Dambatta and his family over his ‘well-deserved’ re-appointment as the EVC of NCC.

Air Commodore Anas, who is the Executive Secretary of CCC, said Dambatta’s re-appointment is a clear testimony of his outstanding track record of excellence, diligence and focused leadership at NCC.

“We have no doubt that these desirable qualities earned you the confidence of Mr. President, hence your re-appointment as Executive Vice Chairman of NCC,” he added.

While asking Almighty God to grant Prof. Dambatta long life, good health and wisdom as continue to serve his fatherland, the CCC helmsman, recalled the laudable efforts of Dambatta in the activation of the Commission’s 112 toll-free Emergency Telephone Number at Emergency Communication Centres (ECCs) in 18 States.

PRNigeria reports that several eminent stakeholders in the nation’s communication sector had earlier applauded Mr. President for re-appointing Prof. Dambatta as EVC of NCC, for a second term in office.

While announcing the reappointment recently, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, said the proactive decision to recommend Danbatta’s reappointment to the President for approval was to ensure stability in the telecommunications industry and consolidate on the gains and successes already recorded in the industry, in the last five years of Danbatta’s leadership as the EVC of NCC.
