The Kebbi State NCoS controller, Abu Sanu, had earlier toured the Isolation Centres to ascertain their fitness, level of preparedness and to ensure full compliance with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control’s Directives which was Conveyed via NCoS Controller General’s Circular which consequently lifted the earlier embargo placed on non-admission of inmates in custodial centers nationwide owing to novel Covid-19 outbreak.

The Controller having found the isolation units worthy to admit inmates of all class, happily declared that all the ten correctional facilities and Inmates within his purview are Corona Virus Free and admission of inmates into the well equipped designated isolation wards had since started.

CCS Abu Sanu, noted the efforts of Kebbi state Government and that of State Covid-19 Committee in providing the needed palliatives which included; fumigation of the isolation centres, provision of Personal Protective Equipments, infrared thermometers, Boots, liquid soaps, hand washing buckets, hand sanitizers, face masks, hand gloves, goggles, mats, plastic containers, plates, cups amongst others to the isolation units all in a bid to ensure the smooth compliance with the CGC.Ja’afaru Ahmed’s order on admission of inmates during the covid-19 period.

In a related development, the command took delivery of two additional logistics vehicles; a mini green maria for smooth chauffeuring of inmates to and from courts and an operational Toyota hilux from the NCoS National Headquarters, Abuja.
