Nigeria @60: Former PRNigeria Manager, Others Bag Awards, Cash Prizes for Branding Competition
The Federal Government has awarded Trophies, Certificates of Recognition and Cash prizes worth 16 million Naira to winners of Challenge Competitions for best slogans, poems and photographs on Nigeria’s 60th Independence anniversary.
The former manager of PRNigeria Centre for Strategic Communication, Kano, Sani Ibrahim Paki is one of the recipients of the awards as he bagged the third position in the challenge organised by the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy in collaboration with Ministry of Information and Culture.
Speaking during the event which, the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami said his ministry was assigned by the federal government to give room for citizens to showcase their talent in governance and decision making.

“This is the first time citizens are given the chance to contribute in the decision-making process where we entertained applications and entries from highly innovative Nigerians. This is just the beginning and we shall continue to improve on it,” Pantami said.
Similarly, the Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi said his agency has played a very vital role in coming up with the process and platforms to make the challenge a reality.
He explained that the nine winners, three from each category were selected after thorough scrutiny by a team of judges out of over 3,258 entries received for the contest.
Inuwa also said the panel of judges has considered originality, creativity, impact and presentation style of the entries before recognising the awards recipients.
Winners of the awards included Nwakuba Ezinne, Oluwadaresinmi Daniel and Kalu Chioma who won first positions in Photography, Slogan and poetry categories respectively. Others are Leke Adebule, Yusuf Muhammad, and Mustapha Dauda Gwary.
The theme of this year’s independence anniversary focused attention on ensuring togetherness and unity of the country just at it battles challenges of existence as a nation, hence, all the categories awards recipients tried to indicate it in their works.
