Emir Appoints Arabic Scholar, Mujtaba Bature as Chief Islamic Interpreter of Ilorin Emirate
The Emir of Ilorin Emirate and Chairman of Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has appointed an Arabic linguist and Islamic Scholar, Mujtaba Bature as the new Ajanasi Agba.
Mujtaba succeeded Sheikh Hassan Yusuf Bature who died after a brief illness in March 2020.

The new Ajanasi, Mallam Yusuf Mujitaba Bature who is 34years old, obtained Master’s Degree in Arabic Literature and Linguistic studies from the University of Ilorin in 2013.
Yusuf Mujitaba Bature currently works at the Linguistic Immersion Centre, the University of Ilorin as a lecturer. He does research in Discourse Analysis, Rhetoric and Interlinguistics.
