NDA Plans Big Passing out Parade of Regular Course, Short Service Course

A former military Administrator to Sokoto State, Brigadier General Yakubu Muazu (retired) has charged passing out cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), to devote themselves completely to the service of the nation and to eschew any actions that could put to jeopardy the dignity and integrity of the Nigerian Armed Forces and the nation at large.

Gen Muazu made this call when he served as the Special Guest of Honour at the Commandant Luncheon in honour of Passing Out Cadets of 67 Regular Course and Short Service Course 46 (Army), which was held at the Academy House.

“You must remain focused, disciplined and level headed as you approach the end of your training in NDA. And you must devote yourself to the service of our beloved nation. You must also dedicate yourselves to working hard to enable you rise to the peak of your career in the Armed Forces”, he advised.

Addressing the cadets, Commandant NDA, Major General Jamil Sarham, noted that the event offers the Passing Out Cadets an opportunity to interact with senior officers and senior non military staff so that they can gain a wealth of knowledge and experience. He described Brig Gen Yakubu Muazu as an iconic figure and a mentor who has contributed immensely to the development of the Armed Forces and the nation.

The Commandant’s Luncheon is part of a series of events lined up ahead of the October 10 Passing Out Parade of the cadets.
