The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has partnered Abuja -based Public Relations (PR) outfit, Image Merchant Promotions Limited (IMPR) on the 2020 edition of the Lagos PR Industry Gala dubbed LaPRIGA awards.

The decision to work together in making the event a success was agreed upon when Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the NIPR, Mr. Olusegun McMedal paid a courtesy visit to Chief Executive Officer of IMPR, Mallam Yushau Shuaib in his Abuja office.

According to McMedal, the event which is slated to hold on 19th December, 2020 is aimed at recognising excellence and celebrating communications practitioners and stakeholders via awards dinner to boost professionalism and more investment in the practice.

“As professionals, we are being shortchanged. It is only when there is crisis that PR people are being valued so this event is aimed at drawing the attention of necessary stakeholders to value the PR Profession and also market the Institute. It’s the biggest event besides our AGM with over 300 in attendance at the last edition.” He said.
