NEMA Provides Relief Items to 38,000 IDPs in Borno
In continuation with the efforts to provide succor to Internally Displaced persons especially during the yultide, Director Genaral NEMA AVM Muhammadu Muhammed (RTD) has approved the monthly distribution of food items to IDPs in Borno state for the month of December.
NEMA officials led by Umar Sani Head of Borno state food distribution team have since commenced the distribution. Sani pointed out that the Distribution is going to be concluded before christmas.
NEMA under the supervision of Hajia Sadiya Farouk Honourable minister ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has been poviding monthly food rations and condiments to 38000 House Holds of Internally Displaced person’s in camps,host communities and liberated communities in Borno state.
Speaking on behalf of the IDPs at farm center IDP camp , the camp IDP chairmn Mallam Massa Lamisuye expressed their sincere appreciation the Federal Government and the DG of NEMA for the timely monthly food assistance they have been receiving since his assumption of office.
